Amy Hess, lac

Amy is a Chinese American acupuncturist and herbalist practicing in Ventura, CA. Amy uses orthopedic acupuncture and manual therapy to address pain conditions and restore mobility. Amy also uses constitutional acupuncture and herbal medicine to address systemic health concerns such as digestive, sleep, reproductive, emotional, autoimmune and chronic conditions.

A former full spectrum doula, Amy is passionate about working with people in the perinatal time through pregnancy, postpartum, termination and loss. She offers labor troubleshooting appointments - utilizing acupuncture, manual therapy and Spinning Babies® techniques to support optimal fetal positioning and the physiological cascade of labor and birth.

In addition to general practice with an orthopedic and perinatal focus, Amy enjoys working with people seeking support in recovery from addiction and trauma.

Amy is a doctoral candidate and faculty member at the Academy of Chinese Culture & Health Sciences. Outside of the clinic or classroom, you can find Amy in the ocean, gardening, hiking or crafting in the kitchen.
